Learn to Swim Policies & Procedures
A. Payment & Registration
-
Swimmers must be at least 3.5 years old to register.
-
Lesson registration is completed for each individual session.
-
Registration must be completed online; no in-person signups.
-
Payment via credit card or ACH only.
-
Tuition will not be prorated if a student registers after the session has started or is not able to finish the session.
-
Class cancellation possible if enrollment is too low (full refund if canceled by PLAT).
-
Missed classes are not rescheduled or refunded.
B. Cancellation Policy
-
Your registration reserves your spot in lessons and prevents others from signing up for that spot.
-
We require a 30 day notification to cancel a lesson for a full refund of lesson fees ONLY.
- If you need to cancel your lesson for any reason, we will do our best to fill your spot with a waiting list swimmer. ONLY IF we are able to fill your spot, you will receive a refund of the lesson fees ONLY, less a $10 rescheduling fee.
C. Weather & Pool Closures
-
Emergency practice schedule changes (e.g., weather) will be posted under the ‘Practice Schedule Changes’ tab on the front page of our website. If you are in doubt, please check the website before coming to practice.
-
It is the intent of Platinum Aquatics that a weather or pool-related closure is out of our control and we would have offered a scheduled lesson if not for this event.
-
In the event of a weather or pool-related closure, the PLAT staff will attempt to offer another lesson time that same week. This is not guaranteed and is subject to pool and instructor availability.
-
No refunds will be given for cancelled classes due to weather or pool closure.
- If a class is rescheduled, parents will be emailed through the registration system.
D. Diaper Policy
-
Swimmers must be fully potty trained.
-
No pull-ups, swim diapers, or disposable diapers allowed.
